2001 4.3 Vortec into 1997 Chevy Blazer with 4.3 Vortec

I set engine in and as tried to bolt up torque converter it does not what to slide to flywheel . I used fly wheel and converter from 1997 Blazer. I done some research and looks like in 1998 chevy changed cranks in the 4.3 Vortec engine . So I am wondering what to do to solve problem to get it to bolt up .

Before doing anything drastic just double check that the converter is slide on ALL the way, this time try to rotate the converter as you are doing it.  I put in an auto tranny on a Mazda3 and had the same problem.  The converter will slide on and feel like it's in all the way but not really.  I had to rotate the converter and wiggle it around then it slide in another half inch or so and that was all it needed.  Just a thought!

Ahh, I see.  Quite possible you will need to change to the 98 flywheel and/or converter then it looks like.
