The VQ30DET from the factory uses a T28?? Im very disappointed. That cant be right though, they used one on the SR20, I wouldn't think nissan would use it on a 3L v6* as well.  Can you get some pics of the stock one? Maybe VS another turbo?

*They used a T25 on an old VG but it only made 200HP vs the VQ's higher flow, DOHC and 275HP.

hmmm im not sure what yours came with but mine had a T3 on it, same size as the R33 RB25DET turbo,

the standard det turbo has a weird shaped exhaust housing, and sat way to far back, so i went aftermarket straight away so i could sit the engine as far back as it could go.

i was guessing it was a funny shapped T28, but it is a T3? it's at the shop and i have only taken off the heat shield around it to glance at it. wut is the max boost/hp on the T3? also, do you have a FSM on the Gloria/Cedric?

no idea on max boost, the only fully standard one ive seen on a dyno only got 160rwkw but the injectors were maxing out, at a geuss the turbo will be simaler to most other nissan t3 and be about 1 bar as max.

never been able to find a y33 fsm anywhere, but if you happen to find one i would love a copy.(well the engine stuff anyway)

i have plenty of injectors now... u said the stocks are 330? i have a boat load of 550s i'm going to send off.

So either of you want to sell me a cheap t3? My maxima might be getting turbo'd this winter. Im sure I'll be badly addicted to boost after the 240's done LOL.

Well the T3 from the L28ET (280zx-T) is good for 320WTQ and 275WHP (assuming 17% loss thats about 330BHP and 385BTQ) at the absolute max so Id think it would be similar on a VQ or VG. I dont know what exhaust housings the L28 version uses, I believe its the same as the VG30ET but may be diffrent...

yes they are the tiny size of 330cc,

as for t3 turbos, the freight would most likely cost more than buying a decent turbo there.

it's still on the motor for now. i'm debating about using the stock turbo or upgrading... it will be going into a N/A Z32 i am purchasing tomorrow. check out my photo gallery. woohoo!

Oh so your putting it in the Z32 now?? Thats awesome. Ive always wanted to see a Z32 with a VQ3X, your going to need coilovers to compensate for the new weight though. But thats not a bad thing

nice, they fit well in a z32, well ive only seen one but it cleared the standard bonnet
