Ok guys, I have a 1994 B4000 4x4. I have a 6 inch lift and 33 inch boggers on it, and have a 4.0/auto. I use this truck for my work which mainly takes place off road. Today I was on a call and had to go about 80 miles away from base. About 30 miles into the trip, BOOM! tranny's gone. Looks like a total loss. I need this truck back up ASAP (wife's minivan won't cut it), so a friend of mine has offered me a 1988 EFI 5.0/AOD and all associated harnesses/modules from an F150 4x4. Any thoughts or suggestions out there? The "new" engine/trans have 67232 miles, mine has 171000. I've never done a swap like this, so any advice is helpful. Thanks.
