    Z33 engine in a miata

Hey guys, I just came across a mazda miata. I was planning on swapping a Z33 engine into a S13. Now im woundering if the same swap could be done to the miata. The only reason I want to do this swap instead of the S13 is cause the Miata was given to me for free. If anyone knows about this swap being possible please let me know. If I can't do the swap then i'll just go S20 or KA-T in the miata. Thanks in advanced :)

Re: Z33 engine in a miata

step 1, pull ka from s13
step 2, install turbo kit onto KA
step 3, install KA into miata
step 4, blowup KA-T and then pull it
step 5, install LS1 crate motor into miata
    step 6, install vq35de into s13
    step 7, sell LS1 miata
step 8, build VQ for stillen supercharger with twin turbos
step 9, make everyone bowdown to your twin turbo supercharged vq swapped s13.

Re: Z33 engine in a miata

Get a 2L engine built from flyinmiata.com. or just boost a 1.8L miata engine and put it in with a tuneable ecu.The point of a miata is to be balanced, and be a very nice handalling car. Not some HP junkie.

And Id do a VQ30 if any thing, unless you made the VQ35 into a high revving low torque setup, as even the 3L will have plenty of torque for the super light miata chassis.

You need to check out the grmotorsports.com forums. They love miatas and have guys that have swaped ford 5.0's into them so Im sure a VQ will fit.

Any way my vote goes for a VQ30+z33 6 speed in the miata. if you want a 240, KA-T it. If I wasn't retarted Id just do that....

A VQ will fit no problem.
