I'm sure you could do it, but I wouldn't expect it to drop right in. The half ton has a different frame than the 3/4 and 1 tons so I'd expect some differences in motor mount location. Those diesel motors are super heavy, I've personally weighed several and they come in just under 1,000lbs without tranny! Be sure you build some stout mounts!
